Rock Climbing
This is ideal for beginners as you will be able to start slowly and build yourself up until you can reach the top of the rock wall. This is much better than getting to an outdoor rock and deciding it is too difficult, as there will be expert help. There is a two hour induction course, and once that is finished you should feel confident enough to do this again and again.
As you would imagine all the equipment is provided for you but there are a few rules that you have to follow. You need to provide your own shoes and they have to be comfortable and suitable for the activity. Also you will not be allowed to take part if you are drunk. It is a well run establishment but they cannot be responsible for people not being in the right frame of mind when they turn up.
As well as being interesting this is going to be great fun, especially the chance to cruelly rib a friend who make not take to the activity right away. You will be escorted by a guide who will pick you up and take you back to the hotel.

The Only Way Is Up
Keep Your Body as Close to the wall as possible. As well keep your center of gravity balanced in a forward-backward direction. As a rule, keep your body close to the wall. Understandably, sometimes leaning back away from the wall is necessary to see the route.
