Canoeing Experience
Time spent on the river brings forward the feeling of quiet days and a gentle ride. When you are in Riga you are able to experience this with your friends and not only get to enjoy the feeling of canoeing, but also see some of the beautiful sceneries. It can be a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the City and while that is what many people come for, hours spent away from it are extremely enjoyable.
Each canoe that you use will have 2 or 3 people to it, and will follow the 25km course that has been set up. It will test your skill and show who has the best sense of adventure. The waters are calm and peaceful, meaning that you can enjoy the journey and not worry about having to battle the elements. This activity is available from May to September and in order to book, there has to be at least 8 of you. There is an English speaking guide who will take you to and from the location provided. As you would expect, safety is vitally important and all the equipment you need will be provided. Just sit back and enjoy.

Gauja River
The Gauja River is the most beautiful river of Vidzeme and whole Latvia. The beautiful sandstone rocks on the banks of the Gauja and its adjoining rivers started formation before 370-300 million years during the Devonian era. The Gauja River tends to change its bottom rapidly. Therefore, it has gained the reputation of being deceitful. The bottom of the river is made of unconsolidated sand and gravel deposits, which move along with the torrent.

This experience leads you along beautiful cliffs and rock outcrops, you will be able to drink from springs and on your way you might even meet different wild animals and discover the secrets of nature.
